I gather you're off to Europe today, Bush. Mending fences. There's a page of brief words of advice from European journalists in today's New York Times. I guess if I were to offer something, it would be one word: listen. I mean, of course, to someone other than God, who regrettably doesn't always seem to offer the best advice, from the purely human point of view. But this is the sign of respect I believe they're looking for from you, from us… I hope you're up for this tough task, in your second term. No one thought you did much of it in your first.
